Job Description

Help maintain high standards in loan reviews by ensuring compliance and quality excellence. This role is central to refining our processes for efficient mortgage diligence and offers opportunities for specialization and career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough quality control examination of loan reviews completed by Loan Review Analysts.
  • Provide prompt real-time feedback and corrective guidance to analysts regarding errors and their impact.
  • Ensure sustained regulatory compliance for all loans reviewed, adhering to guidelines from TRID to Reg X.
  • Escalate recurring error trends to management for strategic intervention.
  • Develop and implement deep expertise in specific client loan guidelines and quality management frameworks.
  • Handle escalated client conditions independently and resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in testing and enhancing our loan review system to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Position yourself as a go-to subject matter expert in specialized loan review quality control areas.
  • Offer daily guidance to analysts on underwriting, compliance, and procedural queries, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality to protect client and lender interests.
  • Adhere rigorously to internal controls, reducing errors and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone or email, addressing needs effectively.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in mortgage quality control, with 3-5 years in mortgage underwriting or due diligence.
  • Excellent understanding of mortgage loan processes, particularly in condition clearing and its effect on loan quality.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of investor guidelines, credit rating agency standards, and USPAP practices.
  • Proficient in producing detailed underwriting reports and executing effective corrective actions.
  • Ability to analyze complex loan documentation, including servicing records and compliance-related files.
  • Strong leadership foundations, equipped to oversee teams, manage performance, and foster collaboration.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, excelling in multi-tasking and deadline management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical prowess, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
