Tasks and Key Responsibilities

The Senior Insights Strategy Consultant will undertake comprehensive research and strategy development with the following key responsibilities:

  • Global Insights Ecosystem Development: Support and project manage the creation of UNICEF’s Audience Insights Ecosystem, bringing together 4-7 core pilot markets. This includes arranging kickoff meetings, conducting listening tours (7-15 interviews per market), and drafting comprehensive insights plans for each pilot market in collaboration with the broader Audience and Market Insights team.
  • High-Value Audience Research Management: Contribute to research planning for the High-Value Audience Brand Tracker, including market selection, questionnaire development, and vendor liaison. Lead analysis of various markets and sub-audience groups, and facilitate insights-to-action sessions to ensure research findings translate into practical fundraising strategies and partnership approaches.
  • Corporate Partnerships Insights Strategy: Contribute to yearly listening tours and insights plans supporting UNICEF’s Corporate Partnerships team. Run selected research projects including methodology selection, market analysis, and vendor coordination. Develop insight assets including presentations, working sessions, and workshops that help corporate partnership teams better understand and engage potential partners.
  • Major Donor and Foundation Research: Support insights generation for Major Donor and Foundation teams through comprehensive listening tours and qualitative analysis. Create standardized questioning protocols for donor relationship managers and utilize AI qualitative analysis tools (Quallie) to produce quarterly and yearly reports on ultra-high-net-worth individual and foundation leader perceptions.
  • Advocacy Insights Development: Contribute to audience insight strategies supporting UNICEF’s PFP Advocacy team. Conduct specialized research projects to understand advocacy audience perceptions and develop evidence-based approaches to engagement. Create presentations and working sessions that translate complex research findings into actionable advocacy strategies.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Essential Requirement: A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in Cultural Studies, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Political Studies, Development Studies, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Certification: While not mandatory, additional certifications in market research, data analysis, or specific research methodologies would strengthen an application.
  • Technical Training: Demonstrated expertise through coursework or professional development in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and insights application.

Experience
