Job Summary
Lyft is seeking a dedicated and passionate Software Engineer in Test (SET) to become part of their dynamic Customer Platform Quality team. In this fully remote role based in Ukraine, you’ll play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a culture of excellence by championing test automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring outstanding customer experiences across Lyft’s platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement robust test automation strategies in collaboration with product teams.
- Create, execute and maintain comprehensive test plans covering both new and existing products & features.
- Monitor test execution results, effectively troubleshoot and resolve defects across various platforms.
- Continuously enhance and optimize the existing test automation framework and infrastructure.
- Act as a technical advocate, promoting framework adoption and providing support to development engineers.
- Balance short-term testing priorities with long-term automation goals.

✅ Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles or Automation Engineering.
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming languages relevant for test automation (Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift, etc.).
- Significant hands-on experience implementing automation solutions using frameworks suitable for modern mobile applications (like Espresso, XCUITest).
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture principles and API testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated history of successful automation implementations that demonstrably improve developer productivity and software quality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with documented experience working effectively in diverse cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with a demonstrated passion for solving complex technical challenges.
